The KASCD Network
There is strength in numbers! The KASCD network extends beyond our membership of more than 500 educators throughout the state of Kansas, to include groups and organizations not just in our state but across the nation. Several of the different groups we collaborate with are:
- Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD)
Founded in 1943, the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development (ASCD) is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization that represents 175,000 educators from more than 135 countries and 58 affiliates. ASCD, a community of educators, advocating sound policies and sharing best practices to achieve the success of each learner.
- United School Administrators of Kansas (USA-KS)
United School Administrators of Kansas (USA) is a statewide "umbrella" organization that assists education professionals by providing top quality administrator professional development, performing assessments on school effectiveness, communicating notices of administrative vacancies and administrative changes across the state, offering training, and helping to resolve legal contract disputes.
- Kansas Learning First Alliance (KLFA)
Kansas Learning First Alliance (KLFA) is a partnership of 24 leading educational associations united with the common purpose of making Kansas first in the nation in teaching and learning. The KLFA focuses on three key areas: student achievement, professional development, and public engagement.
- Kansas Staff Development Council (KSDC)
The Kansas Staff Development Council (KSDC) is an affiliate organization of the National Staff Development Council. KSDC was formed to provide current information relating to the needs and concerns of staff development personnel. Additionally, KSDC promotes effective staff development practices, cooperates with other organizations to promote staff development activities, provides assistance with the design and implementations of staff development programs, and expands training opportunities for staff development leaders.
